Description
The Art Nouveau Hotel Pax Montana is located on a terrace and offers panoramic views of the valley and the Obwalden mountains. Originally built in 1896 as a modern flat-roofed building, it was renovated at the beginning of the 20th century and given its characteristic towers in the Heimatstil style. Since 1999, the hotel has been renovated in stages, with numerous historic parquet and terrazzo floors, stucco ceilings, and ceiling paintings being renovated or uncovered. Today, it is a listed building and a protected object of regional importance.
