Description

The 8.81 km long line, opened in 1912, branches off from the main SBB Olten-Lucerne line in Sursee and runs down the Suhren Valley via Geuensee and Büron to Triengen.

via Geuensee and Büron to Triengen, where the depot and workshop are located. The steam locomotive of type 241-A 65 was in service for almost a week in March 2017 for the latest remake of the film "Murder on the Orient Express", besides sounding names from Hollywood, the absolute star. The catenary-free railroad line is ideal for filming. And so it's no surprise that film crews find their way to the Surental again and again.
