Description
The Viscosistadt, in the south of the municipality of Emmen, is being developed on the old site of the Société de la Viscose Suisse, which was known for the production of artificial silk (now Monosuisse). Today, the large industrial and commercial area is home to the Hochschule Luzern Design und Kunst and many creative industry workplaces. Among other things, the former industrial complex now also houses the Spinnerei event location. During its temporary use between 2012 and 2018, many scenes from the Lucerne-based TV crime series “Tatort” were filmed there.
