Description
The Höllgrotten near Baar are stalactite caves located in the ravine of the river Lorze. Between the many stalactites, stalagmites and stalagnates is a small lake, which was explored when the cave was discovered in 1863. In view of the stalactites and of tree roots covered with sediments, the discoverers thought of a demonic work. Today, each cave has its own lighting design, which makes the caves appear particularly atmospheric for visitors.
