Idyllic village at the foot of the Bürgenstock

Description
The secluded village of Kehrsiten lies on the southern shore of Lake Lucerne, at the foot of a steep, wooded rocky slope, and can be reached via a narrow lakeside road or by boat. Hidden behind the rock faces of the Bürgenberg near Stansstad is the Fürigen Fortress: built during the Second World War, it was part of the defense strategy at the time.
