Baroque place of pilgrimage with unique picture sky

Description
The pilgrimage church (built 1501 - 1662), located above Obernau (municipality Kriens), is characterized by its unique picture canopy with 324 symbols of the Virgin Mary. The sacral building with its baroque furnishings was built near the hermitage of brother Johann Wagner. In 1649 a Loreto chapel was added to the church. Hergiswald is a station of the Way of St. James
